Fall is finally here!
Are you ready for some cozy fall reads?
Hi dear Reader,
How have you been?
Thank you for sticking with me while I took a few weeks off.
October is one of the prettiest month’s to be in Minnesota. I loved living in Texas, the warmth and no cold, negative forty degree winters. But the seasons in Minnesota vary so much that it is fun. Now we are still warm during the day but crisp at night and all the leaves are turning red, orange, or pink.
To celebrate the fall, we took the little Bocks to an apple orchard. They ran through a corn maze, giggling as they tried to find all of the pictures on their cards. They petted the goats and talked to the pigs at the petting zoo, rode in a wagon pulled by Hubby, and picked out three good sized pumpkins that are now sitting on the kitchen table waiting to be carved.
The best part was to pick out their own apples. There is just something about local apples that taste so much better than store bought. We bought a bag of honey crisp which they torn into on the way home. Hubby also bought caramel apples. The girls had fun eating them and spreading the stickiness on everything they touched.
What is your favorite way to celebrate fall?
This week I am sharing with you a book that a fellow author has for sale and is in KU. I thought that it sounds so cute!
Book Blurb:
What’s he doing here? It was supposed to be a fun, relaxing weekend at a famous resort. Just me and my best friend, Cam. This trip to Hood River, Oregon was a chance to finally get out of the city and relax. There’s just one snag: turns out the vineyard is run by my ex-husband Matthew Sinclair, a self-centered workaholic lawyer.
What’s she doing here? When I see my ex-wife Ellie for the first time in six years, all those old butterflies come fluttering back. The day she walked away changed me. When I quit my job and converted this old place into the four-star resort it is today, everything was different. Is this my second chance? If so, I only have three days to prove I’m not the man I used to be and show her what it means to be loved.
Plus I also have a fall clean romance giveaway to fill your e-reader and try new authors!
That’s all for this week! I hope you have a wonderful one and I will talk to you next week!
Hugs,
Allie
