Hi Dear Reader,
In grade school, we learned the saying “April showers bring May flowers.” Boy, is it true this year! Our April in Minnesota has been rainy and cold. Then, it rains more the next day. The backyard has turned into a pond. This week if finally warmed up to 50°F. The grass greened right up and my bulbs burst from their winter beds. They are still just leaves and stem, but eventually the buds will come. Do you have any flowers coming up? I’d love to see some pictures if you have them.
The coolest thing this spring is that we have visitors in our backyard. Evidently, they decided to make a home in our neighbor’s flower beds and come swimming our makeshift pond. Aren’t they cute?
What have you been reading this week?
I picked up A Match Made in Ireland by Michele Brouder.
It’s the first in her Escape to Ireland series. It’s very cute. Ruth is a romance writer that is unlucky in love. Kind of cliché, but it works. She travels to Ireland to do research for her next romance novel. Of course, everything goes wrong. She ends up meeting Sean. He’s a good guy and ends up helping her with her troubles. It’s a romance, so we all know how it is going to end. It just a light, feel good read. Perfect for a rainy day. The best part is that it is free on retailers. Have you read it?
That’s all I have for now. Below you will find links to two giveaways filled with romance books. See if something sparks your interest. I know I will!
Until next time.
Hugs,
Allie
